As far as we know, attapulgite is widely used in agriculture, medicine, food, environmental protection and other sectors. Of course, I didn't expect that it also existed in cosmetics, so we asked, what technical points does it play in cosmetics?
It is well known that attapulgite is one of the three major industries in China and the world. Then, the cosmetics have some modification when using attapulgite clay, and the steps are as follows:
The raw attapulgite ore is crushed into 2-5cm small particles, which are dried in the air or dehydrated manually to constant weight. Then the dried particles are prepared into slurry with mass fraction of 5-20%, stirred, ultrasonic dispersed, separated through 1200 mesh sieve, and concentrated with filtrate to obtain slurry with water content of 50-75%. The stirring time was 20 ~ 60 min and ultrasonic dispersion time was 15 ~ 45 min.
Egg white was added to the slurry, stirring at 15 40min for 2~10 to 15, and then adding ammonia to float the foam containing attapulgite. The egg white was added to the 5 20%. floating size of the slurry, and then the citric acid was defoaming, centrifugated and washed to obtain the purified attapulgite. The amount of citric acid was 1~10% of the pulp quality, and the purified attapulgite and glucose were purified. The mixture of DGA in water was uniform and refluxed at 60 ~ 100 ℃ for 15 ~ 30 h. The modified attapulgite was obtained by centrifugation, washing and drying. The ratio of purified attapulgite to its mass was 1:0.1 ~ 1:1.
There are so many research effects of attapulgite in the field of cosmetics. Of course, the paste, suspending agent, cosmetic base, slow-release incense releasing agent, mosquito repellent incense adhesive filler and adhesive agent all have attapulgite materials. I hope you can have more knowledge about it when applying, which is helpful to better practice.
